Spa-Francorchamps (race) driver

Last week I had the pleasure to be part of a driving experience at the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium. You might know it from the Belgian F1 Grand Prix.

The experience included being a passenger in a stock Alpine A110 driven by a professional driver! My driver was Jean-Pierre Van de Wauwer, a former Belgian Rally Champion. 71 years old last week.

Man, he was driving this car like a mad man! Really impressive. The amount of G forces I felt when he slammed the brakes. Crazy!

Sadly the experience lasted 7 minutes in total before we entered the pits again.

The driving experience also included doing 2 laps with your own car in a “parade” style driving. No speeding, no heavy braking and no overtaking! It is what it is… but still a nice thing to do!

I have a nice picture with the Safety Car driving behind me!
