Bye vscode, hello zed

In my last post I mentioned the use of nvim as my editor. While I like nvim, there was a problem I couldn’t fix: copy/paste using SSH+tmux. And I don’t want to go back to vscode, so I’m trying zed now. They have a nice remote development module via SSH. So far so good! Working fine both on Windows and Linux. 👍

Oldskool remote development

I’ve been a long time user of Visual Studio Code. While you can do everything you can think of with vs code, I was looking for something new. Linux in 2025

I still remember when I first got a CD with Ubuntu 4.10. It was the first time that I tried out Linux. Back then I could build my own computer and was able to add a second hard drive which started my continuous adventures into the Linux dungeons.

Clouds

When I watch the clouds I always get the urge to take a picture. I don’t know why. But then again they are just clouds… what would I do with those pictures? I always wanted to make a sky cam that automatically captures pictures of the sky at different times in a day using a raspberry pi and a camera. And lucky me, I’m using micro.blog so I can script uploads!
