Minecraft RCON - The idea
At the time of writing my kids are 5 and 6 years old.
I introduced them to Minecraft a year ago. Since then they've grown massively in the game. The things they construct are crazy.
Full fledged houses with all the details and amazing architectures. Some automation to open doors and secret rooms.
YouTube probably helped there...
In the beginning my wife and I joined the server. A private server hosted in my homelab. Nowadays the kids play alone. They play as Steve and Alex.
While previously I was logged in on the server and could teleport them to each other or change their game mode (creative / survival), I can't anymore. Or I need to log in on a device and access the server terminal to execute commands manually.
The idea grew to create another Google Nest Hub app for Minecraft where the kids could manage some basic commands themselves.
